Happy New Year 2010!

This group of 11 friends returned to the inn for the New Year and spent 3 days laughing, playing games and generally cheering up the atmosphere, our staff, and our other guests. They have been doing a New Year’s getaway for the past 25 years, and we have been voted their all time favorite! We’re ever so flattered and very happy they returned to us…we hope to see them again soon! In the meantime, I’m working on my own group of friends to hold close for that long! For now, Happy New Year to All, and good luck with your resolutions, but don’t forget the importance of what you already have…

Chuck and Cyndi were married atop Mt. Washington this past Thursday. They spent 3 nights here at the Inn with us, exploring the area and taking a break from the “real” world. I will miss their smiling faces at breakfast and hope to see them again, soon! Oh, and thanks for the good weather, Chuck. We hope it holds for awhile!

Ed and Lynn waited 16 years for this day…we are pleased they chose to share it with us! They are off playing golf today. Hope they have as much good fortune on the course as they do in life! It is obvious they already have the patience…

This young couple escaped for a white mountain elopement here and we all had the best time! They are originally from Texas and wanted to be married in the snow so off we tromped (Vera in her dress) to the top of the hill! The view was perfect – we couldnt have asked for any better. We hope to see them again before they head back down to Texas…We all wish you two all the best!

The New Mr. and Mrs. StansfieldOriginally uploaded by darbyfieldinn. Ronald Stansfield and Maggie Darden travelled here from Rhode Island to tie the knot on our back patio, with family and her daughter witnessing the ceremony. We got some great photos, and they enjoyed the Shackford Suite, one of our deluxe rooms, and dinner later that evening. We wish them the best of luck and hope to see them for future anniversaries!

Meet Jennifer Brown and Eric Sager – they arrived as two people and left as a married couple. Jennifer thought she wanted to have her ceremony in our award-winning gardens, however, there were no pictures of them on our website. She was nervous until she saw that the flowers are truely beautiful! I chose this picture from their wedding because it’s a great shot of them, and also to show others that the garden is a wonderful backdrop! Jennifer, Eric and their friends were great and very patient with me, which I appreciate…we wish them all the best married life has to offer!
