Reserve Time for your Old Fashioned Carriage/Sleigh Ride 

     Step back in time at the Darby Field Inn with a romantic horse drawn carriage/sleigh ride.  Your hosts are Malcolm and Beth Thomas, and either the beautiful Welsh Cob mares, or Spike, their 20 year-old regal Belgian gelding.  During your 30 minute ride, the horse(s) will trot along country roads, wind through wooded trails, and whisk you away through an old New England field, towards the the edge of the world, or so it will seem when you experience the breathtaking panoramic New Hampshire view of the Mount Washington Valley and surrounding White Mountains! This is a romantic spot where many engagements begin.

     Rides depart from, and return to, our door and are open to houseguests, or anyone else wishing to enjoy old fashioned fun in an intimate setting! Share the fun with that special someone, or your whole family.  Carriage/sleigh rides are available Thursday through Sunday, 4 - 8pm.  Other times may be arranged by appointment only.  At $85 per couple, $120 for 3-4 people, our prices are the lowest in the Valley for private rides.  We also offer special rates for children under the age of 6.  We require a credit card guarantee for outside reservations.  

Why Leave After Your Ride Ends?  Complete the evening with dinner in our beautiful dining room, or enjoy lighter fare in Littlefield's tavern. Ask about our Dinner & Carriage/Sleigh Ride Special:  Enjoy a private ride, followed by a three-course, candlelight dinner for two, for $155, before tax & gratuity on dinner.  Reservations are required.
